This table is adapted from 2023 ASC Climate Work Group discussions. As noted in the article on design options, there appear to be two primary approaches to state climate corps designs: a flagship or singular program focus and an umbrella or network approach. As these approaches took shape across the ASC Climate Work Group discussions, this table was prepared (and reviewed by the existing climate corps lead staff members in CO, MN, ME, and CA) to help illustrate the pros and cons of each approach within some general dimensions of an initiative (i.e., administration vs. identity vs. activities).
